Test Time...

Today I am spending part of my time studying for a test I have in my Contaminant Hydrology Class.  This is a midterm test, that is covering a lot of material.  The hard thing for me is that I have a hard time with just lectures.  Memorizing facts and the like is much harder for me.  If I can experience something and interact with it then I am generally much better at retaining that memory.

I guess the trick is to get to the point that I can interact with the information that I need to memorize.  At this point, 85 minutes before the test, the only thing a person can really do is be sure that the concepts you do know are clear and understood.

The real reason I want to do well with this test is that I want to succeed with my goal of getting a 4.0 for my entire masters.  So far I am half way there and possibly going to keep it going through my classes this semester.  We will see how I do.  The other problem with this test is that I haven't experienced the teachers test language yet.  Tests are much easier to prepare for if you know how a teacher phrases questions, not just the actual type of them.  That is why today is really going to be an adventure...
