Things Keep Going...

Well things are going pretty well.  It has been a few days since I wrote to this online journal.  A few different things have happened lately and here are a few of them...

My computer monitor monitor an old CRT 19 inch stopped working on me.  It was kind of burdensome and took up a lot of room.  It was really nice to have a larger screen however to work with.  Anyway I was glad to now have the chance for getting a large less space intensive flat screen LCD.  I am thinking of a 22 inch monitor.  It is amazing to think that a 22 inch monitor is almost twice the size of my 19 inch and easily 3 times the size of my computer.  Samsung currently is making the best monitors in my price range.  I have seen a few that look quite nice but they lack the USB ports that some have that I would like for my USB mouse and keyboard.  That is a small thing but probably for my use will be important to consider for efficiency and sanity.

Lately my duaghter is adorable.  She is a people person.  As well Andy is a morning person.  She really likes to be unwrapped when I am up and about to she can wiggle after a good night sleep of being swaddled.  When she wakes up she is a doll.  She smiles and coos and wiggles with excitement at seeing me.  That is what will wrap me around her finger.  I just can't get over the fact that she is so small and dependent on me.  That astounds me everyday with both of my kids.  They get everything from us.  Wow.

Andy also had her heart check up today and she is showing both holes that were present closing dramatically.  We were worried that they wouldn't close and we would be needing direct surgery or intense medication to close them.  The lord has continued to work with her and she is proving to have little problems at all.  We are very blessed.  I can attest to that.

I have noticed how being in the same routine as parent and spouses can really wear you down just like a long trip.  Alison and I have a hard time some days when we get back together after a long day in our respective areas.  I have a hard day at school, she has a long day with the kids and menial tasks that never seem to end at home (a yammering 2 year old can really wear you down...).  When these happen on the same day it is hard to be cival with each other and remember you love each other.   Today we did get to actually talk for a few minutes after the kids were in bed and it was such a relief.  The hard thing is that my poor wife was exhausted and I had to tell her to lay down and sleep.  I am glad that we have each other.

Anyway, I think that for now that will be all I have.  I am tired and need to prepare myself for a day of substitute teaching tomorrow.  It isn't bad, you just need to be prepared.  I have done 5 so far, and have only about 50 to go.  If I can sub that many then we will be set for our summer of trips next year.  I am quite excited about that.  Anyway, I will write again soon...
