Stuff...

Well things are going along as usual.

I am still working on getting my thesis committe together to do my thesis proposal but that has been going on for a while.  Overall we are doing well with that.  I am thinking that we are getting close to being successful on getting done with the Vegas seen.  Anyway, I am feeling pretty good about things.

I do wish that I could get a bit more reaction out of my professor for getting equipment fixed or problems solved.  He is pretty busy with all his other projects he has before him but it is dissapointing to struggle with problems and have to wait forever for help to fix them.  Especially when his help will save months of time.  Anyway that is all I have to say about that problem...

This week I am heading to Provo with the family and am quite excited for my break.  I am going to take two weeks off to work on the websites, photograph, Fly fish and tie flys.  Then I will be back to the drawing board.  And honestly I will still work several hours a day on work.  Just not twelve hours a day.

I am also excited for hanging out with family.  Especially my sister Jenny.  We always have a fun time birding, and hanging out.  We are going to take up fly tying, or she is and I am going to teach her the ropes.  Anyway.  I am excited about that as well.

Probably the biggest level of excitement for my is that I will be getting a camera.  Yep I am excited to start taking pictures again and filling up my hard drives.  That as well is another project that I am going to work on.  Organization of my photography.  I also hope to add about another 2000 pictures to my online larders...

I guess that for now that is all.  Oh wait.  So I was substitute teaching the other day at a school and ran into a friend who I knew at BYUI when I was doing my Bachelors.  Her name is Ashley Burgener.  And yes I did go on a date or two with her.  She was actually a much better friend to Alison.  They had many church callings together and had alot of fun.  Anyway she lives and teaching orchestra in Vegas.  It is amazing the links we make and then reconnect later on to.

That is all for the day.

Enjoy!

The End of the Year...

Wow the year is getting old.  I must be getting a bit older as well because I still think of 2007 as barely here.  This usually gets taken care of by May or June.  Anyway today I wish that I could just do nothing for the rest of the year.  I guess that is what everyone wishes.

For me the last few months have been quite busy and I wish that I could have more time.  I rarely have the time or energy to tie a fly or work on my photography.  We will see.  That is what I am most excited about for my vacation.  We will see what happens with the time that I get.

I did order my new camera at last and I am pretty excited.  I am most glad that I will have a camera to take pictures, but not so heady about having a toy.  That is what usually happens to me.  That luckily isn't what I am all about right now.  I just want to make pictures.

My book reviewing project is moving along with the reading of books, but now really in the reviewing.  It is lots of fun to read books with reckless abandon, but to write reviews takes a bit more work.  That project is moving forward as well though.  I have set the goal to do at least a few a week.  I will see how that goes in the next year as well.

As well I am trying to figure the site structure out on my websites that that will be the easiest to follow, use and update without me wasting all my time fumbling over little things.  That is a learning process on all my sites.  I never really thought that I would be spending so much time trying to web design.  I guess we all surprise ourselves where we end up at.

I have probably not much more to add unless I just ramble away.  As fun as that is I still need to get home for a Christmas party tonight and so there I am heading.

Have a great night!

Well things are going well...

Well I am doing pretty well.  I have not written in a while and have been busy.  It is hard to get things done when you have 12 or so directions to go.  That just really lowers how much can be done when you have to spend time in so many places.  Oh well.  The biggest news is that I have now gotten the first few steps going on my thesis proposal and started to form my committee.  This is a big process.  Organizing 4 professors to meet at once is really a dream.  Anyway, things are good.

My kids grow up so fast that each day I come home and see them doing new things each day.  Andrea loves to sit up now, and Zach learns new words each day.  Anyway things are good.  I love being a dad and learning and doing more at school.

That is all for today...
