Saturday

My Saturday has been a good one to be sure.  I started out by going and doing some bird photography at the Henderson Bird Preserve.  That is close to where we live here in Vegas (that is 10 or 15 minutes).  I was putting my new camera the 40D Canon digital through it's paces.  It did pretty well.  I am impressed with the focusing improvement over previous models.  Well done Canon.

 

After that I headed home and watched the kids while Alison went to a Relief Society interview and then the Temple.  While she was gone I listened to a book on tape and cleaned the house.  All except for the Vacumming.  I felt really good about that.  The fun part was that Zach helped me do everything like washing dishes for an hour.  Then he decided he would skip the bathrooms and took a bath for almost 2 hours.  He had a blast.

 

Later we went for a walk and had fun watching the sunset over the vegas skyline. 

 

We got home and had dinner.  We decided that Ribs and Hotwings would be the ticket.  So we bought a rack of pork ribs and cooked them up with the wings. He had some stove top stuffing and apples.  It was a good dinner.  For dessert we had orange smoothies.  Wow that was great.

 

Then it was off to bed for Zach, I tied a fly and Alison posted a load of pictures to our family website at www.chrisandalison.name.  Check it out, it is an overview of all the fun we had over Christmas break.
