Well Hello there my Journal...
I have been gone sadly for a long time. I have thought about you daily. Sadly I have done little to add to you. I always resolve to do better...but actions are what speak in this category. So I won't fill this journal with resolve to right in it, but with writing about other things.
Today I woke up and instead of coming directly to work I decided to go bird watching. It was really nice actually. I jogged a bit (not very far at any time because there were lots of birds around) between birds and enjoy the mornings here in southern Nevada. Sadly in a few weeks even early mornings at 6 and 7 AM are going to be almost unbearably hot. I saw lots of cool birds, my favorite of the day was a Bonaparte's Gull. These birds are really hilarious when you can see about 200 together at once, because of their seemingly crazy actions all synchronized at once. Well there were only two birds and it looked like they were still pretty tired...I guess they haven't gotten their morning worms yet.
I also found an incredibly dense area of Shorebirds thanks to a fellow bird watcher I ran into. Sadly I don't know her name, she is really nice, retired and still actively out chasing birds and enjoying life. I stopped there on the way to work and was amazed, there were not only lots of birds, but they were almost oblivious to my not so sneaky approaches! That is always cool, it must be because I didn't have my camera...
The other cool thing of note that I will write about that has happened in our lives lately is that our boy Zach (our oldest, who is now Three and a half, WOW!) got a new bike. We checked craigs list a wonderful aggrandization of used stuff for sale all over las vegas. We got him a bike that seems to be his size with training wheels and he loves it! Usually he greets me now with a "Daddy, want to go outside and I can ride my bike?" He loves it and is getting better at it daily! This is awesome. I think we got it for him at about the write time as well, beginning of summer, he is starting to hit a growth spurt and getting a bit stronger and the price was right at 8 dollars.
We went earlier and let him try out some bikes at the store to see if he was ready and he was. He was pretty mad that we left the store with no bike after we let him sit on it and ride it around for a while. So we did well there. Ironically our daughter who is approaching 2 years old now is very interested in our little trike we have!

Late night...
So last night I was up a bit later than I like reading my brothers paper that he needed to turn into today. It was actually a nice paper and well written. That English class is doing him well.
Anyway, it was later than I would have liked getting to bed and I cursed myself before I went to bed. I bragged that my son Josh who is only 1 month old was a great sleeper and that we usually didn't have any problem with him at all sleeping most of the night.
The kid must have heard and decided to show me up. So from 1:30 to 2:30 he couldn't go to sleep. He wasn't very awake, he just couldn't relax and get the sleep he needs and his parents really need. Oh well, tonight we can try again. I hope that he doesn't get into to bad a pattern because he will be sleeping in his own room and his dead to the world parents won't hear a thing if he runs us out to much...
Anyway, he is an awesome kid, I hope he sleeps tonight though!
